We visited this place last night after searching for a good crab cake spot and came across this little gem on the bay. The food exceeded our expectations!
The crab cake was phenomenal served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Everything tasted homemade, and even the asparagus was cooked perfectly. We also ordered the mahi-mahi tacos and a dozen raw oysters. The oysters were large, fresh, and delicious, and the tacos were excellent as well.
One small note regarding the service: the restaurant closes at 9:00 PM, and we finished eating around 8:30 PM. Our server seemed a bit rushed and cleared some plates while I was still nibbling on the food without asking first. The service was otherwise good, but allowing guests to finish their meals at their own pace, especially when there is still time before closing, would make the experience even better.
Highly recommended for the outstanding food and beautiful waterfront views!!

This was my first time eating at the Lobster Shanty. Because of the name of the place, I ordered dishes with lobster.
I was a bit disappointed by the lobster and shrimp bisque. The soup and the shrimp were excellent, but I was unable to detect any lobster in the bisque.
Then, I had the lobster pot pie. The pie had a very nice filo dough crust, not what I expected, but very good. The inside of the pie, served in a nice sized deep porcelain bowl, was delicious and had plenty of lobster meat.
There's a free parking lot out front, and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible with a ramp leading up from the parking lot.
Our server, Kyle, was pleasant and efficient. He knew the ingredients of the dishes. He didn't need to go back to the kitchen for information.
We are outside. Even though the restaurant overlooks a wetland, we weren't assaulted by bugs. I asked Google's Gemini about the lack of wildlife and bugs. Gemini told me it's due to pollution and lack of oxygenation of the water.

Had a wonderful dinner on a Sunday night at the Lobster Shanty. Our last night of boys tennis weekend. We asked to be seated in the bar area so we could enjoy the beautiful view. It did not disappoint ! Service and food was excellent. Had the fish tacos ! They were spectacular. Highly recommend !!
